When the Heads Get Stuck During Data Recovery

Data recovery is a very sensitive process and that’s why it is widely campaigned to all system user not to perform any form of information retrieval on there own.
The disk contains four magnetic plates and on each side is a head that reads and writes from and to the plates respectively. Information is read from tracks in the sectors.

If your laptop happened to fall or your PC disk is mishandled there can be a very great risk of losing your data. You should note that if the magnetic plates happen to get scratched or break the risk is that data may prove absolutely unrecoverable.
On opening the disk to repair any damaged component it is most likely that the air that keeps the heads out of contact with the platters can escape causing contact of the heads and the platters.

This can be a sign of impossible recovery and many companies will hide this fact. Companies with good reputation will warn you that the possibility of recovering the data will be lower.

This is one reason why recovering data on your own is not a crime but a straight road to losing your data at will.

Incases where you hear the hard drive is making funny noises, it may be the actuator that is rubbing against the disk or the platter. The motor may also have mechanical problems that may lead to the shafts touching the casing of the disk or the platters. Getting a data recovery expert at this point can save you a lot before it’s too late
